Yep, you heard me right. There was an earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. It was a 6.0 on the richter scale and hit about 11am. Some people claim that they felt tremors, but I didn't feel a thing. I haven't heard of any tsunamis hitting Tampa or anything. In fact the only damage I heard about was that a water pipe burst in a downtown apartment building (not mine). But who knows if it was related to the earthquake or just a coincidence. This is just what we need, another natural disaster to add to the list which will make insurance rates skyrocket again.

I'm amazed it got so little publicity.
I was reading up on it and apparently there was another one back in February (a 5.2). I never heard anything about that one.
