Boat Ride

Saturday night, I got a call from Bryan asking us to join him at Lakewood. He then took us on a boat ride around the lake. There wasn't anyone else on the lake that evening. It was kind of chilly. But it was a lot of fun. Maddie really enjoyed it. She liked running around, climbing on all the benches, and looking at the water (Daddy even let her drive). Maybe someday we'll have a boat of our own. Here are some pictures from the evening. Many are blurry (for some reason my camera didn't want to focus properly).

Happy Birthday, Honey!

Yesterday was Bryan's 32nd Birthday. I would have posted it then, but I wasn't near a computer all day. I took the day off work to spend it with my hubby. We spent the morning interviewing day cares because it's official, Bryan got the job! Although we really like the Primrose School (where she went before) it's kind of $$ compared to some of the others in the area. But, we didn't like them near as much.

We were then going to go to Worlds of Fun, but the weather was kind of gloomy (overcast, but no rain). We also couldn't quite justify the cost for the few rides we actually like. Most of the rides are spinning rides and a few coasters. I can't stand the spinning stuff. One of these days I'll have to take him to Cedar Point - to see a REAL amusement park :) So instead, we went to a movie and to dinner with Bryan's folks.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly & The Cute

The Good:

Bryan got a job! That is, as long as he passes his physical, drug test, polygraph, and such. It's not an architecture job, but we'll take it. It won't take us completely out of the hole, but at least one step closer to getting back on our feet. It's a full-time position (hopefully with benefits).

The Bad:

A few weeks ago, my car died on the way to work. It cost $800 for a new fuel pump. Now, the "check engine" light has been coming on. It was due to faulty wiring, but still cost $$ to fix.

The Ugly:

It rained all weekend and is supposed to continue all week. It makes for very dreary days.

The Cute:

One word - Madison. She has been such a joy lately (except for the times when the "terrible twos" kick in.) She gets so excited about things. Last night she made the funniest face. I know, I know, I should have taken a picture. But it was in the other room and I probably would not have been able to get her to do it again. Every time I pull out the camera, she runs around to see the pictures on the back before I can even take them.
