Family Update

Here's a little update on what's been going on with our family over the past couple weeks (some of which you may already know about).

Two weeks ago, Bryan was laid off from his job. Since then, we have been making plans to move back North. Bryan had already been sending resumes and interviewing with several firms. The past few weeks have been somewhat stressful with putting the house on the market, waiting for job offers, wondering where we would be going. Just last week, Bryan had received an offer from a firm in Kansas City. We made arrangements to move this coming weekend so he can start work on the 19th. I'm really looking forward to being back in the Midwest. It will be nice being close to family. We will be renting an apartment that's less than a mile from Bryan's parents' house. I even missed the cooler weather, to a certain degree. Though, it's just starting to get nice down here. But, of course, I will miss all my great friends that I've made over the past 5 years. This year has been quite a year for changes. I got married, had a baby, and now we're moving. But it's all good.

I was really worried when Bryan came home in the middle of the day and told me he had been let go. But it has really been quite a blessing in disguise. He was not happy at his job. But the biggest blessing is all the time he's been able to spend with Madison. That never would have happened otherwise.

Congrats on the new job! Scott was laid off just before Quinn was born too, it was nice that he was able to spend time with him as a baby, even though it was stressful at times. Glad to have you back in the land of winter! :)
